Agriturismo Il Fienile di Orazio

We are in Monte San Giovanni in Sabina, Massiani area, a kind of hybrid place: it is not Sabina anymore, but still not Alto Lazio, and there is twice as much to be seen.
Rieti is about 18 km far from here, Rome is 86.

How to get here

Warning

Do not use any kind of GPS: they get you lost so that you can’t orientate yourself. Please make a call if you have any doubts or problems.

For those who come from the South

Option 1, slightly longer but almost flat
Go through Salaria National Road. Before Rieti get the motorway that connects Rieti with Terni, Terni direction.
Get off at Contigliano. When you are at Contigliano get Rieti direction (on the left). After 3 km, take the right gate Poggio Mirteto/Monte San Giovanni direction.
When you reach Monte San Giovanni junction, instead of getting in the town, follow our road signs.

For those who comes from the South

Option 2, shorter and more scenic but winding
Go through Salaria National Road for km 56. After that turn right and
Follow Casaprota and Montenero road signs. Go through Casaprota.
Cross 3 close towns: Collelungo, Casaprota (intead of getting in the town) and at the end, Montenero. When you pass Montenero (it’s very easy: it is as nice as it is tiny!), when you arrive at the junction turn right towards Rieti direction. Go ahead on the same road. At the next junction, turn left following our road signs.

For those who come from the North

When you arrive at Terni follow Rieti direction.
Go through the National Road that connects Rieti with Terni.
Get out at Contigliano. When you are in Contigliano turn left to Rieti, After 3 km, turn right Poggio Mirteto/Monte San Giovanni. When you arrive at Monte San
Giovanni junction, instead of getting in the town, follow our road signs.
